Floating Hospital neonatologists oversee Framingham Union’s Level IIB special care nursery unit to care for premature and sick infants around the clock. The special care nursery is located within the maternity unit, ensuring that mothers can remain close by. When needed, these physicians also work as a team with the pediatric hospitalists, providing specialized care for infants from the moment of delivery to discharge.

Should a baby need more advanced care, a special transport team is readily available to bring the infant to Floating Hospital’s Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Parents can be confident that the highest possible level of expertise is available to their newborns.
